Blender Asset Conversion

To test Blender's new Asset Browser feature I've been converting old free scenes/objects from Blendswap.com and Archive3d.net into assets. In almost every case I drastically reduce the file size & polycount, clean up the geometry, remesh or rebuild and re-UV-map pointlessly dense objects, make new procedural materials or enhance the original image based textures with PBR shaders.

There you will also find links to the original files on Blendswap.com and Archive3d.net.

Due to file size limits on BlenderArtists.org I've had to save these files with the new compression settings in Blender version 3.0. They probably won't open in older versions of Blender.
